Free post-race osteopathic care for marathon runners
During a sporting event, an osteopath prevents injuries and helps you to recover properly. Osteopaths are trained to diagnose injuries and refer patients to a doctor if necessary. Osteopathy is a natural medicine that aims to restore the mobility of all body structures using techniques based on a perfect knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. The Institut d'Ostéopathie de Rennes is accredited by the French Ministry of Health. It trains osteopaths on a 5-year course of excellence, in partnership with a number of sporting events: http://osteo-rennes.fr/stages-formation-osteopathe.php#sportsand with the University of Rennes 2 for research in sports science and for the University Diploma in "Sports Osteopathy", which provides care and support for sportspeople in their efforts to improve efficiency, motor performance, prevention and recovery.
